B-1B bomber, flying near the North at the East Sea in international airspace ... A Strong warning message

The US Air Force's B-1B Lancer Strategic Bomber delivered a clear warning message to North Korea regarding its reckless behavior through an international airspace flight north of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on the 23rd.

The B-1B, which had departed from Guam earlier that day, flew in international airspace in the East Sea near North Korea, escorted by a F-15C fighter that took off from Okinawa, Japan. The Pentagon said the B-1B, which had been involved in the mission, advanced further north of the DMZ than any other US military aircraft flying in international airspace near North Korea in the 21st century.

"The goal of this mission was to send a clear message to North Korea that the United States has a variety of military options, and is resolved to defeat any threat," White House spokesman Dana White said.

Regarding this flight, an official with the South Korean defense ministry said, "It was done in close cooperation with Korea and the United States."

On the same day, an earthquake occurred in the vicinity of the Punggye-ri nuclear test site in Gilju-gun, North Hamgyeong Province, but it was confirmed that it had been due to natural factors.
