Vice defense minister holds ROK-Estonia bilateral talks on the sidelines of 「Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022」

Vice defense ministers of ROK and Estonia discuss ways to boost ROK-Estonia cooperation in the areas of national defense and the arms industry

In the afternoon of September 7 (Wednesday), Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul held bilateral talks with his Estonian counterpart Kusti SALM, who was participating in the ｢Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022｣, at Lotte Hotel in Seoul.

Noting that the security in Europe and in the Indo-Pacific Region including the Korean Peninsula are interconnected, the two vice ministers agreed to continue bilateral cooperation to provide support to Ukraine and denuclearize North Korea.

The two vice ministers shared the view that both the ROK and Estonia are states which have built an advanced information base, and agreed to further strengthen multilateral cooperation among both sides and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to effectively respond to the external cyber threats faced by both countries.
