- It displayed the US extended deterrence and reinforced the interoperability of the ROK-US combined forces

On February 20, an ROK-US combined aerial exercise was held with the deployment of US B-1B strategic bombers.

This marked the first ROK-US combined aerial drill of the year, and included USAF strategic bombers, ROKAF F-35A and F-15K fighters, and USAF F-16 fighters.

The training was designed to demonstrate the US extended deterrence against North Korea’s escalating nuclear and missile threats while enhancing the interoperability of the ROK-US combined forces.

ROK and US authorities plan to expand the combined exercises further and strengthen the ROK-US Alliance by maintaining close cooperation to effectively deter North Korea's threats. <End>
