On the afternoon of September 9, Defense Minister Kim Yong Hyun met with Singapore’s Defense Minister Dr. Ng Eng Hen, who was in Korea for the second REAIM Summit on Responsible AI in the Military Domain.

Minister Kim expressed his appreciation for Singapore’s support of South Korea’s North Korea policy, particularly in efforts to maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula through denuclearization.

Minister Ng Eng Hen commended the strong and friendly relations developing between Korea and Singapore in various sectors, and he reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to peace and stability in the region, including the Korean Peninsula.

Minister Kim also promoted the advantages of Korean weapon systems and encouraged Singapore to consider them for upcoming defense projects.

Moving forward, South Korea and Singapore will continue to strengthen their bilateral relations through a regular defense cooperation consultative channel.
