Future of defense science and technology, the second-term science and technology expert officers are discharged

- The officers have developed as experts in Defense R&D during their 3-year military service

The Ministry of National Defense (MND, Minister Suh Wook) and the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT, Minister Lim Hye-sook) said in a statement that twenty second-term science and technology expert military officers (16 from the Army, 1 from the Navy, 3 from the Air Force) will be discharged as lieutenants on May 31.

Based on their three-year service as research and development officers in the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), the twenty officers will continue to study in major universities inside and outside the country, or will build their competence as experts in defense R&D by finding work in research institutes and companies or starting their own technology businesses.

The MND and MSIT will continue to cooperate closely to make our country become a significant military power based on science and technology by fostering excellent personnel in the field of science and engineering as expert officers in science and technology.
