On September 26th, the Air Force's training wing had an opening ceremony and prepared themselves for successful training before joining ‘2018 Red Flag-Alaska,’ a multinational air force training exercise sponsored by the US Pacific Air Forces.

The ceremony was hosted by the Air Force's 11th Fighter Wing Commander, Brigadier General Park Ha-sik at the Air Force's 11th Fighter Wing, and soldiers joining the exercise and their families attended the ceremony along with the Wing's soldiers.

In his address to see them off, Commander Park said “I hope all the trainees accomplish the goal completely, through their best concentration and teamwork. This will help spread the excellence of the Republic of Korean Air Force.”

The Air Force will send six fighter planes(F-15K), two transport aircrafts(C-130H), and 140 pilots, maintenance technicians, and support personnel to the 2018 Red Flag exercise, which will be held at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. 56 fighter planes and 35 air mobility aircraft from the US and six fighter planes from Finland will also be taking part in the exercise to strengthen the performance of air combat and combined operations.
