[JNBC] Korea-U.S. Navies, Sharing Heart While Interacting Closely with Each Other

Jinhae Naval Base Command and CFAC (Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae) recently held a friendly exchange event to promote mutual goodwill.

The Republic of Korea reserve forces control center of the Marine Ground Security Battalion, JNBC, announced on March 9 that they invited around 20 soldiers, including the CFAC command sergeant major, to the unit.

The exchange event was arranged to enhance the cooperation between Korean and U.S. units adjacent to Jinhae naval base, and consisted of an introduction to the current state of the unit, unit tour, survival training, table tennis game, etc..

Significantly, the soldiers took part in a type of combat training commonly referred to as a ‘Survival Game’. Through this actual situation-assumed training, they were able to build a consensus around the anti-terrorism activities that Korea and the U.S. need to adopt in times of emergency. After that, they enjoyed eating Korean foods, such as Tteok-bokki and Pajeon, etc..

Lieutenant General Byun Sung-won, the ROK reserve forces control, JNBC who supervised the event, said “I hope the Korean and U.S. soldiers enjoyed a new experience through this mutual exchange. In addition to promoting friendship through continuous exchange, we will also try to increase our combined mission capability by sharing operation know-how between the units”.

JNBC and CFAC are going to regularly hold a friendly exchange event by visiting each other’s units every couple of months.
