An official from the ministry said that Minister Suh Wook and his Chinese counterpart Wei Fenghe shared opinions during talks held over the phone on October 21. The talks were held at Wei Fenghe’s request.

During the talks on Wednesday, the two ministers exchanged opinions on bilateral defense exchange and cooperation issues, as well as the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.

Explaining the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region, Suh asked China to continue to play a constructive role in maintaining peace and safety on the peninsula.
