ROK, Poland sign an export execution contract for FA-50

Expanding the entry of domestic weapons systems into Europe

On September 16 (local time), Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (KAI) concluded an export execution contract for 48 FA-50 fighter jets worth about 3 billion dollars with the Polish Military Manpower Administration in Mińsk Mazowiecki, Poland.

The signing of the FA-50 execution contract is the outcome of the excellent international competitiveness of our weapons systems, the Yoon Suk Yeol administration’s strong push for defense exports, and multilateral negotiation efforts by domestic arms industry companies.

Taking this export of FA-50 fighter jets as momentum, our government and companies will do their utmost to build high-level cooperation between the two countries at the stage of operating and maintaining the weapons system.

Following the first execution contract for K2 tank and K9 self-propelled artillery signed last month, this contract for FA-50 fighter jets completed the signing of execution contracts for three types of weapons systems.
