ROK-UAE defense vice-ministerial steering committee meeting

On September 23, Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul and his United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri will hold the 12th ROK-UAE defense vice-ministerial steering committee meeting at the main building of the ministry.

At the meeting, the two sides plan to exchange opinions on the security situation between the two countries and discuss various ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of national defense and the arms industry, including information and cyber, mutually commissioned education, and cooperation in defense science and technology.

The ministry expects that this vice-ministerial steering committee meeting will further cement the trust between the defense ministries of the two countries and strengthen mutually reciprocal defense cooperation.
