Vice defense ministers of ROK and Lithuania hold bilateral talks

Vice defense minister discusses ways to cooperate in the area of arms industry with his Lithuanian counterpart visiting the ROK to participate in DX-K

On the morning of Wednesday, September 21, Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul held bilateral talks with his Lithuanian counterpart in charge of defense budget and acquisition, Vilius Semeska, who was visiting the Republic of Korea (ROK) to participate in Defense Expo Korea (DX-K), at the main building of the ministry.

The two ministers agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in the area of the arms industry based on the amicable relations between the two countries which have been ongoing since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1991.

The two ministers shared the view that bilateral cooperation in the area of the arms industry will serve as a facilitator to build trust and advance defense cooperation between the two countries, and agreed to beef up communication between the two countries so that this meeting can aid progress in that area.
