Vice defense minister holds ROK-Uganda bilateral talks on the sidelines of 「Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022」

Two sides discuss ways to expand ROK-Uganda defense exchanges and cooperation

On Thursday morning, September 8, Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul met with his Ugandan counterpart Jacob Oboth, who was visiting the Republic of Korea (ROK) to participate in the Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022 (SDD), and the two sides exchanged opinions on the current issues between the two countries in the area of national defense.

The two sides shared the view of the need to expand bilateral cooperation in the areas of national defense and the arms industry, and agreed to continue their close communication and cooperation. Shin called for Uganda’s proactive support for the ROK’s efforts to host World Expo 2030 Busan.
