Vice defense minister meets with Hungarian government commissioner for defense policy and arms industry on the sidelines of 「Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022」

Two sides discuss ways to expand ROK-Hungary cooperation in the areas of national defense and the arms industry

On September 8, Thursday, Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul met with Hungarian government commissioner for defense policy and arms industry Gáspár Maróth, who was visiting the Republic of Korea (ROK) to participate in the ｢Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022｣, and the two sides exchanged opinions on the current issues between the two countries in the areas of national defense and the arms industry.

Offering a reminder that ROK-Hungary relations were developed into a ‘strategic partnership’ in 2021 and bilateral cooperation efforts are being expanded, Shin stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation to respond jointly to new security threats, including in the cyber area, as well as bilateral cooperation in the area of national defense.
