Defense ministries of ROK and US hold Countering WMD Committee (CWMDC) 2022

The defense ministries of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States (US) held the director-level session of the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Committee (CWMDC) 2022 in Seoul on July 13, 2022.

During the meeting, the two sides enhanced their mutual understanding of the WMD threat, and in this context, discussed ways to reinforce mutual cooperation.

Significantly, the two sides agreed to continue to develop and strengthen mutual cooperation in order to effectively deter and respond to North Korea’s WMD threat if required.
