Vice Defense Minister meets with German Parliamentary Secretary to Federal Foreign Office

Two sides affirm ROK-Germany cooperation on Indo-Pacific policies and Germany’s support for building peace on the Korean Peninsula

In the afternoon of June 9, Thursday, Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-cheol met with Parliamentary Under-secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office Tobias Lindner, and the two sides exchanged opinions on bilateral cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and the security situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The two sides agreed to cooperate closely in the process of building stability in the Indo-Pacific region, sharing the view that the Republic of Korea (ROK)　and Germany have the common values of free democracy in the rapidly changing global situation.

Meanwhile, Shin expressed his gratitude for Germany's various efforts to build peace on the Korean Peninsula, while standing firm against North Korea’s nuclear development and missile threats.
