Defense minister checks readiness posture of Air Force base

Suh emphasized the need to achieve an overwhelming and strategic victory by operating F-35A, 'unseen force'

On March 25, Minister of National Defense Suh Wook conducted field guidance on the F-35A 「Elephant Walk」 drill, known as ‘unseen force to protect the Republic of Korea (ROK),’ and checked the military readiness posture of our armed forces in response to North Korea’s latest launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) during his visit to the Air Force base.

Suh conducted field guidance on the F-35 「Elephant Walk」 drill, where the operational readiness is fully manifest, following the completion of the introduction of the final version of F-35A.

“Our military has effectively deterred and responded to North Korea’s increasing nuclear and missile threats by integrating our independent available capabilities, such as our military’s 「weapons of massive destruction (WMD) response system」, and the ROK-US alliance capabilities, such as the US’s extended deterrence strategy. We will continue to strengthen this deterrence,” Suh said.
