Defense minister meets with Ghana's ambassador to ROK

Two sides discussed ways to strengthen ROK-Ghana defense cooperation

On the morning of April 21 (Thursday), Minister of National Defense Suh Wook met with Charis Obetsebi-Lamptey Zwennes, Ghana's ambassador to the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the two sides exchanged opinions on ways to strengthen ROK-Ghana defense cooperation.

Suh assessed that the cooperation between the Cheonghae Unit, which  conducts operations in West African waters, and the Ghanaian authorities established last July has provided an opportunity to break new ground in defense cooperation, stressing that the two countries have steadily conducted bilateral visits of top-level officials since diplomatic relations were established in November 1977.
