Defense minister provides field guidance and encourages Dongmyung Unit

- Minister stresses the need for safe implementation of missions through thorough COVID-19 preventive measures -

On Friday morning, February 18 (local time), Minister of National Defense Suh Wook visited the Dongmyung Unit in Lebanon, which is carring out the mission of United Nations peacekeeping operations. During his visit, Suh offered field guidance on mission implementation and quarantine measures, and encouraged soldiers working faithfully to carry out their mission amid difficult conditions in the COVID-19 situation.

The purpose of this visit was to check on the upgraded quarantine capabilities of the unit deployed overseas; all the soldiers of the unit have recently received their third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, transported from Korea, and the unit has provided various COVID-19 test kits, such as X-pert, and an oral COVID-19 drug to soldiers.
