Defense minister meets with US marine corps commander

On Monday afternoon, February 21, Minister of National Defense Suh Wook met with United States (US) Marine Corps Commander David H. Berger, who was visiting the Republic of Korea (ROK). They shared their opinions on the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region, the development of the ROK-US alliance, and a plan for cooperation between the marine corps of the two countries.

Citing the fact that Commander Berger has maintained close ties with the ROK, Suh stressed that the marine corps of the two countries are a symbol of a firm ROK-US alliance, with a shared history together since the Korean War.
