Defense ministry holds meeting to review the progress of safety control work related to Serious Accident Punishment Act



On Tuesday afternoon, March 15, the Ministry of National Defense held a meeting to review the progress of the safety control work related to the Serious Accident Punishment Act via a video link at the main conference room of the ministry, under the supervision of Minister Suh Wook.



At the meeting, the participants assessed the progress of the safety control work by each office of the ministry and each armed service since the enforcement of the Act on Serious Accident Punishment, etc. (“Serious Accident Punishment Act”) on January 29, and discussed areas for improvement and development.



The ministry plans to △ strengthen the education to upgrade the expertise of safety control personnel, △ examine the reinforcement of manpower and support for the expansion of budget, △ strengthen activities to inspire safety awareness in the military, and △ continue field inspections for the establishment of a safety control system.
