Defense minister conducts field guidance on coastline security operations

During a visit to the 2nd Operations Command and the 32nd Division on Tuesday, January 18, Minister of National Defense Suh Wook asked soldiers to establish a security operational readiness of ‘victory first, combat second,’ as he gave field guidance on coastline security operations.

Suh stressed the need to “be committed to establishing an integrated private-public-military-police defense readiness by cooperating closely with the maritime police and the local government, taking thorough steps to come up with a COVID-19 quarantine system,” while speaking via video conference with main commanders and staff officers at the headquarters of the 2nd Operations Command.

Suh also visited the 32nd Division radar base to provide field guidance on coastline security operations.
