Defense Minister Suh met with delegation from US House of Representatives

In the afternoon of November 23, Defense Minister Suh Wook met with *a delegation of the US House of Representatives that was visiting Korea and exchanged opinions on ▴major issues of the ROK-U.S. alliance, ▴evaluation of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and regional security cooperation.

The U.S. lawmakers mentioned that the reason they visited Korea is to encourage U.S. soldiers abroad on Thanksgiving, who are helping to keep the ROK-US alliance strong by dedicating themselves to strengthening the ROK-US alliance while they are away from their families in their home country.

In response to US lawmakers’ questions about his opinion on the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula and cooperation between the Humanitarian Strategy and the New Southern Policies, Defense Minister Suh explained the ROK government's North Korea policies and key policies for regional foreign and security.
