Opening of Additional Trails Outside the Presidential Villa on Jeo-do, Geoje

The Ministry of National Defense (MND)　plans to open additional trails outside the presidential villa on Jeo-do, Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do from February 2022, where public access had been restricted.

The general public had been prohibited from accessing Jeo-do due to the presence of military facilities and presidential security facilities, but discussions on the opening of the island began in earnest after the issue was adopted as a presidential pledge in 2017. This opening has been in effect since September 2020, after a one-year trial opening from September 2019.
