Defense Minister Suh Wook, Command Flight for the New Year

In the morning of the 1st day of the new year (Saturday), Defense Minister Suh Wook conducted a command flight aboard the Air Force's air controller Peace Eye (E-737) to check the readiness posture of the Army, Navy, Air Force and dispatched troops across the Korean Peninsula.

Minister Suh spoke on the phone with △the JCS commander and control team leader, △the Artillery commander of the Yeonpyeong Unit of the Marine Corps, △the Aerospace Operations Center head of the air force operations command (AFOC), △the leader of the East Command in Lebanon, △the F-15K pilot covering air controller, △the Admiral of the Navy’s Suh Ae ryu Seong-ryong vessel and △the commander of the General Outpost (GOP) Battalion, 21st Infantry Division of the Army, while flying over the territory, territorial waters and airspace of the Republic of Korea.
