Republic of Korea and China hold ceremony to casket the remains of Chinese troops



ㅇ On Wednesday morning, September 1, at 10 A.M., the Republic of Korea (ROK) and China held a ceremony to casket 109 sets of the remains of Chinese troops killed in the Korean War, who had been excavated by the ROK troops in 2020, at a ‘temporary morgue’ of the Army unit located in Incheon.



ㅇ Presided over by the ministry’s Northeast Asia Policy Division Manager Go Kyung-guk and China’s Vice Minister of Veterans Affairs Chang Zheong Gwo, the ceremony was attended by the officials concerned from both sides, including the ROK’s KIA Recovery & Identification and the working group of the Chinese Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
