A special exhibition of the Founder Aircraft T-6, Registered Cultural Heritage 667, which was bought in 1950 thanks to donations made by the Korean people, is being held at the Republic of Korea Air Force Academy (RKAFA).

The RKAFA held a special exhibition named "Memory of Founder Aircraft T-6" at the special exhibition room in the Air Force Museum starting on June 19.

The exhibition provides an overview of the historical significance of the Founder Aircraft, which was introduced to strengthen the air force’s power in its initial period, and represents the Korean people's hope of building an independent national defense capability.

Visitors can see the actual Founder Aircraft T-6, which has been relocated to the Air Force Museum for this exhibition, and can read a range of materials including newspapers, government archives, and flight textbooks from before the T-6 left the air force in 1962.

In addition, video interviews and records from the Korean Air Force, such as the interview with General Kim Doo-man and General Lee Gang-hwa, will give visitors a real sense of the fighting spirit of Korean pilots who served with determination and devoted themselves to their country.

To visit the exhibition, register for an RKAFA tour through the RKAFA website, or contact the Air Force Museum at 043-290-6072~5 at least three days before your desired visit date.

In October of last year, the T6 was designated as Registered Cultural Heritage No. 667 for its historic value as a symbol of the relationship of mutual trust between the military and the people.
