U.S. CINC, Pacific command visited the Cheonan for his first visit to Korea

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Choi Yun-hee, a navy admiral, and the U.S. CINC, Pacific command Harry Harris, a navy admiral, visited the Second Fleet Command on June 10 and looked around the displayed Cheonan ship. Commander Harris said, “An unpredictable, arrogant leader is leading North Korea. I guess it is the country that is mistrusted all over the world. The Cheonan ship was hit and sunk by North Korea. This is an example of North Korea’s dangerous attribute and unpredictability. The U.S. maintains caution against North Korea’s continuous provocation and continues to keep the Korea-U.S. alliance.” Prior to this, he joined our first Aegis, Seoae Ryu Seong-Ryong Ham, and exchanged extensive opinions about security circumstances surrounding the Korean Peninsula with Chairman Choi. They made sure of a firm, strong response to North Korean provocation based on the solid Korea-U.S. combined defense system. It was the first time that the U.S. CINC, Pacific command visited the Second Fleet by himself to commemorate victims of the Cheonan incident.
