Cyber Flag held to strengthen military cyber readiness and partnership with allies

The Republic of Korea (ROK) military will be joining the Cyber Flag exercise for the first time. The Cyber Flag exercise is a multilateral cyber defense exercise hosted by the United States (US) Cyber Command at the initiative of the Cyber Operations Command.

Since 2011, the US Cyber Command has conducted the Cyber Flag exercise annually to strengthen the combined cyber readiness and partnership with allies.

This year’s Cyber Flag exercise will be held at the US Cyber Exercise Center in Virginia from October 24 to October 28, with the participation of a total of 25 countries, including the ROK, the US, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Eighteen personnel chosen from the Cyber Operations Command, each armed service, and the unit under the direct control of the Ministry of National Defense will join the Cyber Flag exercise.
