17 billion dollar worth of defense export orders in 2022

Poland orders Chunmoo MRLs after the procurement of K2 MBTs, etc.

On November 4th, Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd., signed the first implementation contract, worth $3.55 billion, with the Polish Armaments Agency to export the 230-mm Chunmoo multiple rocket launchers (MRLs). With this contract, export orders in Korea's defense industry have reached $17 billion for 2022, the highest ever.

In addition to the Chunmoo, the $12.4 billion contract with Poland includes all orders for the K2 main battle tanks (MBTs) and the K9 self-propelled howitzers (SPHs), signed on August 26, as well as the FA-50 fighter jet order signed on September 16.
