Minister of National Defense to make an official visit to Egypt and Oman

- Visit will help strengthen bilateral cooperation on national defense and the defense industry; will include visit to Cheonghae Unit

Between August 29 and September 3, 2021, Minister of National Defense Suh Wook will make a six-day official visit to Egypt and Oman. While in the region, the minister will discuss the ongoing issues and look at specific ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the defense industry, as well as ways to boost bilateral cooperation for national defense. 

Suh’s two-day visit to Egypt from August 30 to August 31 was arranged through his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Ahmed Zaki Mohamed’s official invitation. It is the ROK defense minister’s first visit to Egypt.

It is expected that Minister Suh’s visit to the Middle East will help to expand and develop the bilateral defense relationship with Egypt and Oman, key Middle East nations that hope to strengthen their defense cooperation with the ROK.
