ROK/US defense officials talk over the phone


- US Defense Secretary Austin promised close communication and full cooperation with the South Korean government



On the morning of April 11, 2023, Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup spoke with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III over the phone.


At the request of Defense Secretary Austin, Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup had a phone call with him regarding the recent media coverage of US military secrets' disclosure. During the conversation, Austin assured that the US government would cooperate with the Korean government and maintain close communication on the issue.
