Defense Minister attends IDEX 2023 in UAE

Promoting the excellence of South Korean weapon systems to military officials of major countries

Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup participated in the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX* 2023) in Abu Dhabi, UAE on February 20th, where he enhanced cooperation in defense and defense industry with various countries, including the UAE.

Minister Lee elaborated on the Korean weapons systems to the participating country delegates and high-ranking military officers of the UAE during the exhibition, highlighting their superior quality and excellence. 

During the exhibition, Minister Lee expressed that he believes Korea's defense industry is among the world's best, and he affirmed that the Defense Ministry will advance the performance of the Korean defense industry by strengthening defense industry cooperation with other countries. This, in turn, will contribute to the growth of the national economy.
