Vice defense minister holds ROK-NATO bilateral talks on the sidelines of 「Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022」

Two sides discuss ways to boost ROK-NATO security cooperation

In the afternoon of September 7 (Wednesday), Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-chul held bilateral talks with David van WEEL, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Assistant Secretary-General for New Security Threats, who was visiting the Republic of Korea (ROK) to participate in the ｢Seoul Defense Dialogue 2022｣, at Lotte Hotel in Seoul.

The two sides agreed to expand the scope of bilateral security cooperation to non-traditional security areas, including climate change and technical cooperation, while maintaining existing areas of ROK-NATO bilateral cooperation, including cyber and CBRN.
