ROK, Poland hold defense ministerial talks




Two ministers discuss ways to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of national defense and arms industry, while Poland reaffirms its support for building peace on the Korean Peninsula



On the afternoon of May 30, Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-sup held Republic of Korea (ROK)-Poland defense ministerial talks with his Polish counterpart Mariusz Blaszczak, during which the two ministers exchanged opinions on the recent security situation, while reaffirming the need for bilateral cooperation in areas of national defense and the arms industry.



During the talks, the two ministers shared the assessment that the defense cooperation between the two countries has steadily been increasing, with Blaszczak also expressing his satisfaction with the fact that the strategic partnership between the two countries has also been maintained in the area of security.



The two ministers agreed to strengthen their practical cooperation in the area of the arms industry, sharing the assessment that bilateral cooperation here can preserve the close ties between the militaries of the ROK and Poland and contribute to advancing mutual interests.
