Talks with the minister and vice ministers from three countries for 7 days…
discussed pending issues related to national defense and defense cooperation
 
 

The Vice Minister of National Defense Baek Seung-joo is going to visit Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary from this June 7 to 13.
 
He will make an official call on the Czech defense minister and Hungarian defense minister and have individual talks with vice ministers of national defense, policy and strategy to discuss promotional plans for defense and national defense exchange cooperation.
 
The vice minister will discuss pending issues in the national defense area with Poland, with which it entered an export contract for K-9 self-propelled guns in December last year, and in Hungary, he is checking on the progress of an ‘MOU for national defense and logistics cooperation.’ He will also seek detailed action plans to implement an ‘MOU for national defense cooperation’ that was entered into between the Defense Ministries of Korea and the Czech Republic in February when the Czech prime minister visited Korea.
 
During his visit to Poland, Vice Minister Baek is scheduled to give a lecture before students of the Polish National Defense University on the security environment surrounding the Korean Peninsula.
