Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup visits ROKN Submarine Force Command

The minister listened to the opinions of submarine crews and junior officers in a meeting

On Thursday, March 9, Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup inspected the military readiness posture and listened to various feedback from officers of the ROKN Submarine Force Command regarding improving service conditions during a meeting.

Minister of Defense Lee Jong-sup received a briefing on the operational status of the Submarine Force Command. He praised the personnel and said, "I am reassured to see you serving as the nation's strategic unit to achieve peace through strength."

Minister Lee emphasized that submarine warfare requires covert combat operations in deep, dark waters, making it critical to maintain constant combat readiness, strengthen realistic training, and maximize spiritual combat power to ensure a firm commitment to combat under any extreme conditions.
