Defense minister checks military readiness posture of AFOC and ADMC

- Minister stresses the maintenance of a firm readiness posture in air operations and missile defense operations -

On the afternoon of May 11, Wednesday, Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-sup checked on the readiness posture in air operations and missile defense operations, and encouraged soldiers during his visit to the Air Force Operations Command (AFOC) and the Air Defense Missile Command (ADMC).

“We are in a grave security situation due to North Korea’s advanced missile threats and possible nuclear tests. The Air Force should maintain a firm readiness posture in order to respond overwhelmingly to any provocations from North Korea,” Lee said, after being briefed on the current situation of the Korea Air and Space Operations Center (KAOC).
