Defense minister encourages soldiers at Korea Army Training Center

“We will work to create a defense culture in which your devotion to the nation will be respected”

On May 23, Monday, Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-sup visited the Korea Army Training Center (KATC), and encouraged the soldiers while checking the training site for recruits.

Joining the recruits in the barracks cafeteria, Lee expressed his appreciation to those who have been called up to serve the nation and are devoting themselves to the military.

After looking around the barracks, Lee praised the trained soldiers, including the director of the training center, drill instructors, and assistant instructors, for their hard work. “As a cradle for the training of elite troops, the KATC needs to be committed to training recruits, taking pride in creating the military’s combat strength,” Lee stressed.
