Defense minister attends ‘ROK-US Alliance Peace Conference’ and holds luncheon meeting with former US Forces Korea commanders



On July 28 (local time), Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-sup attended the ‘ROK-US Alliance Peace Conference’ co-hosted by the ROK-US Alliance Foundation and the Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA) and expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the Korean War veterans and the friendship of the US forces in Korea in his congratulatory address.


Lee also held a luncheon meeting with former US Forces Korea commanders, at which they exchanged opinions on the development direction for the ROK-US alliance.



The meeting was attended by Paul LaCamera, current US Forces Korea commander (26th), and former US Forces Korea commanders, including John Tilelli (17th), Walter Sharp (21st), and Vincent Brooks (24th), and former deputy commanders of Combined Forces Command, including Jung Seung-jo (22nd), Lim Ho-young (26th), and Choi Byung-hyeok (28th).
